  13. I spoke to Mom on the phone this morning. In discussing Michelle and my's visit, her concerns were for MY needs or wants being met and for making sure the visit went well for us. This is the level of caring and selflessness I have had from my mom for all my life. Stay strong in the coming week Mom, so many people are thinking of you. Love you.

  16. Hi Aunt Madge!

I'm so happy to hear that you have such great nurses and friendly 'neighbors'. Support, having lil happy moments and lots of laughs definitely will help! Thinking of you everyday. Keep on racing and taking it day by day, you CAN and WILL get through this. Your strength, wittiness, determination and faith and maybe a little stubborness (dare i say) will get you there for sure! Love you and thinking of you, Uncle Richard, Beth, Amy, Rickie and all your grandbabies everyday. Thoughts prayers and OODLES of HUGS to all of you! <3

  56. Hi Aunt Madge,

I just wanted to tell you that I think of you everyday. Especially when I am caring for my patients (FRIENDS) at work. I see so many and listen to their stories and they all say that its a day at a time and all of them are fighters even on their weakest days. I really get a chance to get to know and become close to a lot of them. All ages, from people in thier 20's to even in their 80's & 90's!!! I love the lil old ladies that are lil spitfires!! Haha... the things that they say.. lol... they are the sweetest and funniest ones! They say they refuse to give up and say that there is some reason that they are still here on earth, some purpose and they hold onto that. Faith is a HUGE part of the people I help as well as family, friends and support from other who have gone through or are going through similar things, all things that I know you have! So, hang in there, fight the fight and shuffle an inch at a time on the days that are tough. Also, REST!!!! I have to, on a daily basis, tell them that it is OK to REST and good for them too! Even an hour nap does wonders, a couple of warm blankets and 4 pillows help too. :). I am known as "the best tucker inner" on the floor, and I would love to tuck you in one night too. With that all said I say to you what I say to my friends, rest when your body tells you to rest and keep moving forward and take a peak back at how far you have come and keep the faith! Love you! :)

  57. Hi Aunt Madge,
I hope this works. I have tried to add something to this post numerous times... but I will not give up. We are thinking about you every day. You are one of the strongest people I know and the most caring. When Kyle told me he was going to do the Pan Mass challenge I came across a saying that I loved and felt that it represented you "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile". You have done and touched so many people out of the goodness of your heart. Now it is our turn to support you in your new beginning. Kyle road in the Pan Mass on August 3 & 4th and thought of you throughout his ride. We are thinking of you every day and know that you are a fighter and we will see you soon. Love Always, Melissa, Kyle, Kyle and Alyssa

  59. Hi Aunt Madge, I was thinking about you today...I was remembering how one Christmas you gave me a big blow up row boat! I was probably 10 or so. You said "every girl needs her own row boat." Another time I ate too many almonds covered in pastel chocolates at your house and got sick. Then I was stung by a hornet on the nose. :) Hopefully this made you smile as it did me. I hope you are getting better by the minute and hope to see you soon!!! xo Love, Nicole
